Dennis Randall has been a public education teacher for 36 years. All of that time has been spent in the Jordan School District in Salt Lake County, Utah. During that time he has taught a wide variety of subjects including AP European History, AP Comparative History, Model UN, US History, Government, and AP US Government and Politics. He has taught AP US Government and politics for over 20 years. In addition, he has been Social Studies Department Chairman at two different high schools. He is currently Department Chairman for Social Studies at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan, Utah. He has served in that position for 16 years. Mr. Randall is a faculty consultant for the College Board and has read/scored the AP essays for ETS for over 12 years. For the last 9 years he has been a Table Leader at the Government reading/scoring session. Mr. Randall was Mayor of West Jordan from 1982-1986. During that time, he was still a classroom teacher. He has been recognized as Teacher of the Year at Copper Hills High and was runner-up to teacher of the year twice at Brighton High in Sandy, Utah. He has also received the District Award of Merit from the Boy Scouts of America. He also serves as Student Government Advisor, a position he has held for 15 years. He is PTSA faculty representative for Copper Hills High School, a position he has held for several years. Mr. Randall is married to Jacque Randall, is the father of 5 children and grandfather to 13 grandkids. Number 14 will be here in September. Mr. Randall has presented at the Silver State Institute, the Phoenix Institute, the Northwest Institute in Belleview, and the Long Beach Institute. He has also presented at several weekend workshops for the College Board and a workshop for Clark County School District. Mr. Randall received a Bachelor of Art in Education studying social science. Mr. Randall was Copper Hills Teacher of the Year in 1999-2000. He is a certified faculty consultant for the College Board and assists in supervising scoring of the AP Exams for ETS. |

Scott Adamson has been teaching history, government, American problems, and PE at Copper Hills High school since the 1999-2000 school year. He also coaches and does driver education after school. Scott received his associates from Ricks College, his bachelors from Utah State University, and his masters in administration at Grand Canyon University. He is married with three children. |

Amy Brown graduated from Utah Valley University in 2010 and is beginning her second year hear at Copper Hills High School. Miss Brown has a passion for teaching and history and is excited for this school year; she also coaches softball at Copper Hills. In her free time Miss Brown likes to go camping, hunting, and fishing; she also has a passion for sports and loves to spend time with friends and family. |

I grew up in northern New York State. I attended the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY and Majored in History and Political Science. I lived in Washington, D.C. and worked for the U.S. Senate and a lobbying organization. I then moved to Utah and earned my teaching certification from UVU. I have since received my master’s degree from the University of Utah in Instructional Design and Educational Technology. I have taught at Payson High School, UVU, and currently at the University of Utah. |

I have taught at Davis High, Clearfield High, and Ben Lomond. I am an assistant girl's soccer coach at Copper Hills. I enjoy spending time with my husband and six children, playing soccer, and outdoor activities. | |

Born in Ferron Utah to Steve and MaryAnn Jensen oldest of 6 kids. Graduated Emery High School 2001. Served LDS mission to the Hmong people in Sacramento California. Recieved AA from CEU in 2005. BA in History from the University of Utah 2007, Earned a second BA in Education from University 2009. Married Kimberly Barlow of Kaysville in 2005. Daughter Kezzie Anne born April 30, 2010. Been teaching History at Copper Hills for two years. Currently the Boys Head Golf Coach. Loves to spend time with Family, Teach, discuss controversial issues, spend time outdoors, golf, run, and watch any all and sports, especially the Utah Jazz and University of Utah. Mr. Jensen was Copper Hills Teacher of the Year in 2010-2011. |

I graduated from Utah State University in 2006 with a BS in History Teaching and a minor in Political Science Teaching. I graduated with my MA in History through National University. At Copper Hills I am advisor for the Spirit Club. I love working with the students both in the classroom and in the various activities at the school. I love teaching history and I have a passion for travelling. I have had the opportunity to visit 45 of the 50 states and 17 countries. One of my major goals in life is to visit every continent and every state. |

I was raised in South Ogden, Utah and attended Bonneville High School. I then went to Utah State University, graduating in Secondary Education. Over my teaching years I have taught at Granger High, Kerns High, Skyview High, Hunter High, Eastmont Middle, Hillcrest, Brighton, and now Copper Hills, teaching many different subjects and courses. I have attended USU, U of U, and SLCC. I have five teaching endorsements: Psychology, History, English, Sociology, and Library Media. I recently finished a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology. I enjoy Copper Hills for the diversity of students and the great faculty and administration. |

Kim Searle attended Utah State University on a basketball scholarship graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Secondary Education, as well as minors in Physical Education and Coaching. Ms. Searle later went on to earn additional endorsements and a Masters Degree. Ms. Searle coached for over 10 years, was the recipient of multiple coaching awards, and her girls (Softball) earned two state championships under her tenure. In addition, Ms. Searle was named the Jordan School District Teacher of the Year in 2007. Ms. Searle is an avid reader, enjoys a variety of TV entertainment and in her spare time (?) likes to compete (although some days participate might be a more accurate word) in local triathlons. “Everyday I feel fortunate that I will be spending my day doing something I love. It is an honor and a pleasure to be a member of the Copper Hills High Community and to have the opportunity to be a part of the lives of the young women and men who embody our hopes for a better tomorrow.” |

She has taught in Jordan School District for 15 years and spent 10 years working in higher education as an administrator over career and technical education programs. She loves teaching, traveling, and being with her family. |

I studied history and political science at Bethany College receiving a degree in 2009. I then completed a Masters Degree in Education at Westminster College in 2010. I have also taught at Weber High School. I've traveled to Quernavaca, Mexicon to study immigrants affects on public education. I enjoy playing with my son Asher, reading a good book, and golfing for free at the golf course right behind my house. |
