I was raised in the small farming community of Scipio, Utah and worked with cattle and drove a tractor almost every day of my teenage years. I graduated from Millard High School in Fillmore, Utah. I played sports (football, wrestling and track), I was Studentbody President, and a proud member of the Future Farmers of America. I remember thinking as a high school student that someday I was going to be a teacher. When I enrolled at Utah State University, I registered as an education major. (I LOVE THE AGGIES!) I graduated from USU with a BA in Secondary Education and would later receive a Masters Degree in Science Education with an emphasis in Administration. I have always worked in Jordan School District starting as a Biology Teacher at Joel P. Jensen Middle and have worked as an administrator at West Jordan, Hillcrest, Valley, Bingham, JATC and Copper Hills. I bleed blue and green and I hope I finish my career right here with the students I love.

We offer more college and advanced placement courses than any other high school in the state... no kidding! As a full service high school there is something for everyone and our focus on academics assures student success and achievement. Raised in Salt Lake City, Utah I attended Highland High School where I participated in many sports, and activities, and thoroughly enjoyed learning. Through the years I knew that teaching and education would be part of my life. I earned a bachelors degree in Management (Business) from Westminster College and a Masters in Secondary Education from Utah State along and my administrative endorsement. After private industry, I taught business and business related courses at Jordan and Alta High Schools and still teach business courses at SLCC. Coming to Copper Hills in 2003 has been a blessing. The parents and students offer the best of what is good. I enjoy family time with my wonderful wife and children, biking, Island Park and West Yellowstone, reading, art, and homemade cookies and hamburgers... and lots of other things too! We welcome you to Copper Hills High School. The home of the Mighty Grizzlies!
